Kind woman steps up to take care of orphaned kitten after tragedy strikes, she adopts the smol floofy feline into her warm heart and home

New year, same us - isn't that right, feline fam? Yes, yes, we know we're supposed to be trying to make ourselves better in the beginning of the year, but we think we're pretty great already! Like the fact that we take time out of our very busy days to share lots of heartwarming kitty rescue stories with you. Okay, it's also true that we get paid to do it, but that doesn't change the fact that we enjoy doing things that bring you joy. Why should we want to improve on purrfection?

Anyway, we want to emeowtionally prepurr you for this story. It has a very sad (as in, get some tissues) beginning, but has the happy and wholesome ending that brings back our faith in hoomanity. It all begins when one woman makes friends with a stray momma cat and her baby that live in basement near her house. But then, tragedy struck and left the kitten without a mom. This is literally one of the most wholesome, most fluffy, most awwdorable kittens we've ever seen. Have you ever seen a kitten so round? With such big, loving eyes? We've seen a lot of kittens in our days here as a writer for I Can Has Cheezburger, and none have compared to the cuteness of this baby kitten. It's pawsitively precious. We're so glad this heroic hooman stepped in to take care of her!

We told you to get your tissues ready! Life isn't fair sometimes. Bad things happen to good people (and good animals), but all we can do is be there to help pick the pieces back up and keep bringing our pawsitive spirit to everything we do.
